AEVAN (Association of Egyptians in Vancouver) is a nonprofit dedicated to uniting Egyptian families and individuals across the Lower Mainland through inclusive programs, cultural celebrations, and practical support for newcomers.
To create an inclusive space where Egyptian culture is celebrated, newcomers feel supported, and community members of all backgrounds can connect and grow together.
At AEVAN, we believe every act of kindness plants a seed of change. Whether you're teaching Arabic to children, helping newcomers settle in, mentoring women, or simply welcoming someone at the airport—your time and heart matter.
Have a skill or passion you want to pass on? Whether it’s teaching Arabic, Quran, programming, music, or even just reading stories to kids our workshops are powered by volunteers like you.
Be the first friendly face newcomers see. From airport pickups to helping with housing, SIN cards, and local tips volunteers are the heart of our welcome committee. Believe me you won't regret it!
Support women-led initiatives and safe spaces for families. Run circles, lead walks, share resources, or just listen. Help build strong, confident connections for the women of our community who are always be our biggest asset!
